Eduplex School in Queenswood, Pretoria, did it again with a 100% matric pass rate in 2025. A total of 59 Eduplex learners successfully finished matric at the end of the year. Neda Bakovic was the top performer with an average of 89,14%. Three learners achieved six distinctions (two of them are hearing impaired); six achieved five distinctions; seven achieved four distinctions; five achieved three distinctions, and six achieved two distinctions. A further 15 achieved one distinction each.
This school is a life-changer on many levels and stands out from other private schools. It follows an inclusive education model and adds value to its learners and communities in many ways. This mainstream, parallel-medium, Christian school (with separate English and Afrikaans classes) is a world-class model, not only in its educational programme but also in its school design. Eduplex’s programme aligns with today’s emphasis on inclusion in education, and the school is a leader in this field. Every class has a small number of deaf children to help these children acquire everyday spoken language alongside their hearing friends. This ensures that all the children reach a level of linguistic maturity that lays a firm foundation for literacy and academic success.
What makes Eduplex even more outstanding is its optimal use of world-leading technology in every classroom. Each classroom has cutting-edge sound-field amplification systems that enable all children to hear the teacher. Focus units enable children with attention-deficit disorders to hear the teacher’s voice above background noise and help them concentrate in class. The use of Smart Boards and Wi-Fi in the school also enables teachers to make their lessons interesting and stimulating. The Eduplex programme is holistic and up to date. It follows modern trends in curriculum development (the Independent Examinations Board in the high school), as well as in technology and language development.
Fanie Grobler, school principal, says about the 2025 matric results: “This outstanding achievement confirms the high standards that Eduplex sets for academic performance. It also shows that we are one of the leading private schools in the country.
Eduplex has a long track record of academic performance and has achieved a 100% IEB-matric pass rate for multiple years. What makes it stand out is that it is an inclusive, Christian, high-quality learning facility with a biblical worldview that emphasises ethical thinking and a sense of belonging. The school includes deaf learners in mainstream classes, using specialised audiology support, acoustically treated classrooms, and advanced technology to support learning for all learners. In short, it is known for inclusive education, strong results, personalised support, and a values-based, holistic environment. The school started 2026 with eight new classrooms for high school learners, which could accommodate 1,000 learners and join the thriving Eduplex community with an excellent track record.
