William Mokibelo Sekhaolelo is from WaschBank,Ga Maraba outside Polokwane in Limpopo Province. Besides being in the music industry for a longer time, Dj Skhaloboy still have much believe that his breakthrough is coming. Energetic and eversmiling talented music producer is inspired by the likes of Dj Maphorisa, King Monada and Master KG.
“Music industry is no child’s play, I have been there but still grinding. I actually started in 2010 making Bolohouse then lately switched to Lekompo (music genre). I gained lot of respect from my fans because of producing quality music” he added.
Djay Skhaloboy was once mocked by a community member who criticised him for cleaning a yard while he is famous. “ I do not have money and must survive, being a hardworker boost me to take any job in order to put bread on the table. Many times you gotta put pride aside and focus on what you want to achieve in life”, said Dj Skhaloboy.
One of the main challenges in the music industry is the issue of performance fees. Dj Skhaloboy said he use to perform for booze or R 200,00 in order to get an exposure. In many places he had to fight hard to get his money.
“My dream is to work with Lehlogonolo Chauke (Shebe), Makhadzi, Kharishma, Zoli, Maphorisa, Kabza and others. Fans can get all my music on Youtube | digital platforms by searching Dj Skhaloboy and can also expect EP or Album this year. Lets work together and make good music”, he concluded.
